Block Parties

We don't want to just talk about being the hands and feet of Christ we want to move with compassion like Jesus did.  In the summer we target different areas of town and hold block parties.  We give out groceries, hot dogs, balloons, and much more.  We have inflatables, a rock climbing wall, and games for the kids to enjoy.  We do this to give hope to those we are in need and show the love of Jesus in a practical way.   This year we are even adding a petting zoo.  

Common Cup Benevolence

Common Cup Ministry is funded by local churches, individuals and organizations and received a start-up grant from United Way. The mission of Common Cup is to gather and share spiritual and financial resources of area churches into one “Common Cup” so that we may minister to those in need. They reach out to those who need food, lodging, transportation, electricity, fuel, clothing, holiday vouchers, etc. They also provide spiritual ministry as well as emergency needs.

Coat Collection

Riverside takes part in collect coats for for Common Cup Ministries. Over 1300 coats were collected throughout the year and 680 were distributed on October 16 & 17th.  Common Cup Ministries retained several coats of various sizes and the remaining coats were donated first to Litchfield for their distribution then onto the other sites organized by Salvation Army.  If you are in need of a coat or hear of a need please let Common Cup Ministries know at (320) 587-2213.
